Wednesday, July 23rd
- Who-NASCAR driver John Andretti and Friends
- What-12th Annual Kroger Race for Riley presented by Cheerios.
- When-Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m
- Where-Mark & Donna Dismore's New Castle Motorsports Park.
- Why-Riley Hospital for Children is the beneficiary of all event proceeds; raised over $1,000,000 since 1997.
- WIBC's Dave 'the King' Wilson will pre-promote and broadcast 'live' at the event from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- The event begins with a media race, where local sports casters are invited to race against John Andretti. Dave Calabro was the winner in 2006 and 2007 and is the only two time winner of the media event. His name has been engraved on the 'Kroger Race for Riley presented by Cheerios' 'Borg-Warner' trophy.
- The public is invited to register and race against John Andretti. See the 'Contribute' tab and click 'Register' to send in a form to participate.
- 400+ attended the event in 2006.
- Another good reason for the event is because Matt Hibbeln is a 'punk' and deserves to be taught a lesson. He also needs to keep his streak of LAST PLACE finishes alive.
